Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Team Lead - Tool and Die. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $30.21 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

• Layout, construct, alter and repair a variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges and be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Lead a team to set up, and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machines
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with dies to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
• Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI).
• Meet prior to shift start to plan and prepare how the shift can help with the needs of the plant.
• Regular coordination with Engineering and Management Team.
• Assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated.
• Assist and train employees in relation to Tool and Die maintenance and repair.
• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 2 - 5 year of manufacturing, design, tooling, and tool designing.
  • Experience and hands on knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in operating machines to include CNCs, Lathes, Mill, and others.
  • 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Previous experience following work instructions.
  • Previous experience interpreting mechanical and assembly drawings.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Parametric Modeling
• Bilingual
• Working knowledge of Lean Concepts

  • Demonstrated electronic and mechanical competence.
  • Proven Leadership role to effectively train, monitor and provide feedback on performance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality.
  • Work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
  • Regularly lift 35 pounds with or without accommodation and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
  • Manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint).
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
