Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Team Lead Foundry 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:00 pm to 12:30 am. The hourly rate for this position is $24.77 - $30.77 per hour.

What you'll do:

The primary function of this role is to be responsible for the schedule of the Mold and Core Departments including personnel, and for tracking and documenting production of areas to meet production needs in the core, melt, mold, departments.

  • Perform various duties associated with the scheduling of Mold and Core Departments, including personnel movements as required
  • Recognize, document and notify supervision mechanical malfunctions and operating irregularities within the melt, mold, and core departments.
  • Maintain and follow all safety regulations associated with and ensure compliance by production employees. Lead and communicate a Zero Incident Safety Culture.
  • Understand and ensure designed TPM functions in melt, mold, core and departments per MESH requirements.
  • Utilization of production documentation in which to track equipment downtime, setup and production events.
  • Promote a team environment, coach team members as needed for work performance, attendance, communication, etc., and work closely with tooling personnel and maintenance
  • Own a MESH Element supporting the site Safety/Environmental Program
  • Ensure that the equipment is maintained at appropriate levels of cleanliness, utility according to schedules defined and apply 5-S program/perform area cleaning
  • Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and recording instruments
  • Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six (6) months experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo Tx. will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior metal casting experience or experience with Melt Department functions such as operating a monorail or magnetic crane, charging furnaces, or managing Junker auto-pouring system
  • Experience setting up and operating mold equipment (DISA), core equipment (Shalco)
  • Proven ability to run a machine with multiple settings or specifications
  • Prior leadership experience

Skills:

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours, work at varied heights, and to lift 50 pounds
  • Understanding and ability to safely operate hand tools, including jack hammers
  • Ability to follow all safety regulations associated
  • Understand and utilize the procedures related to confined spaces, fall protection, LOTO processes, elevated work processes, non-routine work processes, as well as the PPE requirements for melt, mold, and core departments
  • Ability to comprehend, follow, and perform moderately technical standards and maintenance procedures as well as use precision gauging instruments and apply basic math skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and schedules
  • Forklift and frontend loader certified
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is at times very hot or very cold, and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts - frequent weekends and holidays)
  • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant and under limited supervision
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions: eSafety, MESH Prism, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP
