This role can be located at any location listed; on a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of the locations listed.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for additional bonus incentive.

What you'll do:

Our Sustainability Compliance Manager will assist in the timely and accurate preparation of all Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) externally reported metrics as required by the various governing bodies around the world (EU, SEC, etc) and self disclosed externally reported metrics for Eaton's sustainability report, TCFD report, and CDP. This is a hybrid role and the ideal candidate will have a background in audit/accounting with a clear desire to learn and develop their knowledge and skillset in the emerging area of ESG reporting and compliance.

In this function you will:

  • Manage a cross functional team to build robust and auditable disclosures related to the evolving ESG requirements. This includes setting up the controls and framework associated with the production and publication of the data.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to design and implement processes, controls and systems to support data governance, metrics and KPIs with ongoing monitoring of developed infrastructure
  • Monitor the regulators, participate in forums, and engage with public registrants on ESG matters
  • Research ESG disclosure trends, perform benchmarking analysis, and develop recommendations for further action
  • Assist with defining new disclosures to be included, documenting the process that includes robust controls and auditable steps to ensure results are captured timely, accurately, and completely.
  • Manage projects to streamline and ensure the processes are as efficient as possible.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance, or sustainability related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in sustainability, risk management, or controls
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC standards
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future
  • Relocation is not offered. Candidate must currently reside within a 50 mile radius of one of the locations listed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in accounting, finance or business related field
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Strong understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • Familiarity with EU Taxonomy and CSRD Reporting requirement

Position Criteria:

  • Experience working with Workiva, FCCS, SAP and Oracle
  • Strong verbal and written communication, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities.
  • The ability to utilize different search engines, web-based programs, and other sources of information for accounting and SEC reporting research
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and similar word-processing and spreadsheet-based applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs or applications
