Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Supply Chain - Clerk. The core hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.97 per hour.

What you'll do:

Support Shipping and Supply Chain Department with various activities. For shipping the employee will prepares products for shipment and keeps record of outgoing products while maintaining a safe work environment and meet quality standards for packaging materials. For the buyers, employee would support creating purchasing requisitions and other tasks as needed.

  • Pick- Correctly locate and ID parts, Pick exact quantity per list and validate pick is accurate.
  • Pack- Identify carrier, identify packing requirements in work order, verify and pack quantities based on carrier and customer requirements, utilize UPS System to input shipments and print labels.
  • Ship- Complete Export Documentation, contact carrier to schedule pick up, complete bill of lading, maintain miscellaneous ship log, prepare finish goods for shipment by examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped, identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Store material in assigned bin locations, replenish/replace damaged materials by following non-conforming material procedures.
  • Understands shipping, tracking documents and freight forwarders.
  • Able to obtain and understand quotes for international orders.
  • Provides Weight and Dims to shipping clerk.
  • Understand Best Commit to accomplish expected shipment level.
  • Verifies and closes work orders for assembly.
  • Interact directly with customers for shipping updates through e-mail.
  • Ability to use computer for creating shipping transactions in SAP to support Shipping Clerk as needed. Close work orders for assembly, (Allocate Inventory to Sales Order in SAP, Create Pick list, Create Packing list, Create Invoice, Create Post goods issue (PGI), Create Export Documentation, Create STO Orders Material Transfers and Packing List)
  • Pre-use inspection of moving material when operating material handling equipment (Pallet Jack, in house Forklift, etc.) and use approved box cutters to cut packaging materials.
  • Support inventory control clerk, material handlers and receiving as needed.
  • Follows safety rules and maintain 5-S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in work area.
  • Supports the Supply Chain department creating requisitions and with other tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent (i.e diploma or GED)
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing setting or equivalent
  • 1 year experience using SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office Package.
  • Previous Forklift certification.

  • Standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, walking can be expected along with other means transfer of parts, and containers (8+ hours/day for long periods of time).
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull objects that are up to 40 pounds without assistance, occasionally 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Repetitive wrist, elbow and arm movement continuously throughout the work day.
  • Must be able to wear daily required PPE (safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection) as required by company policy and procedures.
  • Able to wear gloves required to handle material.

Work Environment: The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area.

  • Exposure to high noise level, dust, odors, fumes and oil.
  • Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
