Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer.
What you'll do:
Job summary
Function as the technical liaison between the supplier and site regarding all quality and improvement issues, manage Incoming Inspection Quality Inspectors, and will be responsible of reviewing and approval of supplier's PPAPs.
Job responsibilities
- Functional quality lead for supplier specification quality training for receiving inspection
- Perform initial assessments and periodic audits of supplier quality systems for approving new suppliers and verifying continuing supplier conformance to quality system requirements.
Initiate and follow-up supplier corrective actions to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

- Act as liaison for the supplier and the company to resolve nonconformances and quality problems effectively by interacting and communicating with engineering, purchasing, planning, program quality engineers and various levels of management of the supplier and the company.
- Participate as a member of the Material Review Board to review and disposition supplier related Nonconformance Material Reports as required.
- Develop appropriate and effective supplier metrics to monitor effectiveness of supplier quality control system and processes.
- Develop and assist with implementation of supplier quality control and process control plans as required for supplier operations.
- Develop and implement statistical process controls of supplier processes as appropriate or when required.
- Lead Quality Inspectors of receiving inspection.
- Develop positive relationships and effective lines of communication with suppliers.
- Lead developing process improvement methods, inspection plans and reviewing FAIR requirements.
- Supplier's PPAPs reviewing and approvals.
Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, from an accredited institution.
Years and area of experience required
- Minimum of 4 years in Supplier Quality Management.
Technical knowledge
- Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements including GD&T.
- Experience using PC configured with MS Windows OS. Familiarity with MS Office software is desired
- Preferred experience on Electrical or Metal Mechanical Industry.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience in performing Quality audits.
- Technical proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) models.
- English Conversational: Intermediate- Advanced
