What you'll do:
The Supplier Quality Engineer understands and applies the principles of vendor-supplied product quality evaluation and control. This position includes performing technical analysis, evaluation, and testing to resolve quality related product problems. The SQE will work with associated individuals and groups to identify and implement effective corrective actions to resolve quality issues. The SQE will have a basic knowledge and experience with quality-related processes and understand the application and analysis of manufacturing's testing and inspection procedures.
A. Experience working with electrical assembly processes.
B. Knowledge of Surface-Mount Technology (SMT), Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and Final Assembly

C. Acquainted with Quality Control processes such as IQC/IPQC/FQC/OQC and OBA
D. Able to follow production schedules and perform Quality inspection and/or audit at suppliers and retain the inspection records into system when following up the open items/findings with suppliers until its closure.
E. Participates within the organization in Advanced Quality Planning
F. Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Specifications (MES), First Article Inspections (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Quality Audit Plan, Quality Improvement Program, QA Reliability Testing and Measurement Systems
G. Analyze data relevant to the organization and generate performance improvement conclusions and reports to show findings.
H. Basic knowledge of RoHS (RoHS 1.0 - 6 elements and RoHS2.0 - 10 elements) and REACH directive (GP standard) for product and material.
I. Able to follow initial and ongoing Reliability for product and/or key components
J. Able to assist with tool transfer or new tool verification/validation including but not limited to tool shots, tool maintenance (mold, stencil and others).
K. Participates in the QA-CAR handling process and help determine root cause of issues.
L. Work with Chicago Headquarters QA team and/or the Supplier to effectively implement and verify/validate the appropriate closed loop corrective action (CLCA)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2--5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality, electronics industry experience preferred.
Skills:
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems (ISO9001/14001), methods and practices including APQP, FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP/FAI
• Knowledge of IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies) and industry UL standards
• Knowledge and application of AIAG quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, SPC, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving (8-D Methodology, 5 Why's, Root Cause Analysis, Error Proofing, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, etc.)
• Solid interpersonal communication skills needed to communicate to all levels within group of companies and with leaders at Supplier organizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to manage multiple projects, instill continuous improvements throughout the organization.
• Ability to travel 50-75% primarily in Southeast Asia Countries for various D-IT supplied products and their sub-suppliers.
• Ability to work independently such as in a home office or at a vendor factory.
• Emphasis on the following systems: Eaton quality Systems (EQS).
• Problem solving tools & methods, including project management functional knowledge.
• Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) & Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
