Supplier Development Engineer

What you'll do:

  • Establishes interfaces with Operations Manger to assess project or customer requirement to ensure accurate and timely strategy is in a place with regards to Operations, Quality and Manufacturing.
  • Assumes role of main point of contact for all aspects operations, quality and manufacturing in China.
  • Develops and maintains important and relevant KPI to measure Operations at various OEM suppliers in China (Example: OTD, DPPM, Cost, Enquiry Response Time and Safety). Communicates measurement to Operations Leader on a regular and timely fashion.
  • Maintains and enforcers supplier agreements such as but not limited to MSA and Cost Matrix.
  • Builds out capacity plan to support our China OEM project forecast. Provide direction on projects related to B-Line China to maintain a production and logistics schedule aligned with project commitments and customer expectations.
  • Initiates and implements actions to maximize profits by containing expenses through improved sourcing and logistics management.
  • Provides operations support for ProLaunch NPD projects that impact our global operations. Confirms production capability and communicates requirements to our supply partners including the specification and installation of any special equipment or tooling.
  • Maintains individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.
  • Develops, maintains and updates list of B-Line assets in China OEM suppliers.
  • Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
  • Evaluates production processes and quality systems to confirm our product and service is consistent and meets our internal quality requirements.
  • Implements manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports Eaton strategic initiatives.
  • Continually improves safety record by addressing both physical safety issues (target of zero lost time accidents) and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
  • Establishes strong relationship with B-Line vendors/partner facility in China
  • Establishes CI activities at B-Line Vendors/partner facility in China with focus on improving OTD, Quality, Safety and Reducing cost
  • Projects B-Line revenue and margin target on a monthly basis and ensures timely and accurate communication of projection.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or above
  • 3+ years sourcing experience
  • Project management, good comunication and team work
  • English and mandarin, MS Office
