Eaton's Electrical Sector Americas is seeking a Senior Principal IT System Architect who will be responsible for leading and developing technical solutions for our 40+ global manufacturing sites. This role requires defining and articulating a cohesive architectural vision for Inventory Management capabilities within SAP S4 PP/MM, with a specific focus on Extended Warehouse Management (EWS) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scenarios. The Senior Principal will apply their knowledge and experience with the SAP S4 PP/MM modules to develop solutions for business objectives. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and challenges, provide data to support decisions, and ensure the effective implementation of ETO processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate a cohesive architectural vision for Inventory Management capabilities within SAP S4 PP/MM, focusing on Extended Warehouse Management (EWS) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service departments, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of ETO processes.
  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive system architectures that encompass hardware, software, networking, security, and cloud components.
  • Ensure the architecture is scalable, modular, and adaptable to future business needs and technological advancements.
  • Provide technical expertise and analytic support for current infrastructure architectures, systems, and security across the enterprise.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in cutting-edge technologies and innovative equipment.
  • Act as a systems architect/team leader in multi-engineer teams, working on networking and communications projects.
  • Work closely with project managers to manage the systems team and schedule assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in SAP S4 PP/MM modules, with a focus on Inventory Management, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) scenarios.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing system architectures for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, security, and cloud components.
  • Experience with data integration, data modeling, and data design.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud services, including Cloud Formation, EC2, ELB, and S3.
  • Ability to manage strategies, methods, and tools needed to store, preserve, and deliver information to support organizational processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP products like Fiori and BTP.
  • Experience in developing highly scalable, high-performance applications and distributed systems.
  • Expert understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in to deployment.
  • Experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, ITIL, or AWS Cloud services are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a professional services or management consulting environment.
