Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a New Product Development Quality Engineer. This position will be a hybrid office (3x2) role located in Raleigh, NC.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500 - $134,200 a year.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton located in Raleigh, NC, has an opening for a Lead New Product Development Quality Engineer. The Lead New Product Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting multiple new product development projects in the division as the Quality functional core team member of the projects in the Eaton PROLaunch new product development phase/ gate system. The individual will represent and support all Quality activity during the project lifecycle. This position reports directly to the Quality Director of the Critical Power Solutions Division.

What you'll do:
- Develops focused and detailed project Quality Plans including activities and deliverables to ensure the integrity of the project and product.
- Provides Lessons Learned feedback, input, data and deliverables to the new product development process including the project plan, validation, pFMEAs (Design and Process), and manufacturability review activities to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Collaborates with cross functional project team members including Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Service and Operations to drive effective implementation of the Quality plan.
- Monitors and reviews engineering designs and design file releases for compliance to Eaton and industry standards (Enovia).
- Assures completion of First Piece Inspections (FPI) and performs First Article Inspections (FAI) including APQP/PPAP for all new components and assemblies.
- Provides guidance, inputs and completes the process pFMEA in collaboration with the Manufacturing and Operations team.
- Generates the product line Control Plan to be implemented by the Operations team to define and implement actions required at each phase of the manufacturing processes to assure compliance to requirements.
- Provides guidance, inputs and assures completion of the design pFMEA in collaboration with the new product development and engineering team
- Monitors product issues identified (JIRA) during the PROLaunch process to assure product and process readiness for Gate Reviews and product launch.
- Reviews DVT and validation reports to assure product compliance and readiness for release
- Collaborates with Quality team members, including Supplier Development, Customer Quality and Manufacturing Quality as required to achieve Quality Plan and project goals
- Communicates status of the Quality activity in terms of readiness for formal Gate Review approvals and guidance to proceed to the next phase of the PROLaunch process.
- Provides critical inputs into the cross functional review (CFR) to assure team readiness for project phase/ gate transitions
- Completes or assures completion of manufacturing readiness reviews at all primary manufacturing locations prior to production.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering or Engineering experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Six Sigma Belt (Green, Black) certified
- ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE Certification
- Knowledge of new product development, design, validation, manufacturing and test
- Knowledge of electrical power quality and distribution products and systems
- SAP Experience
- Project Management experience
