SR Human Resources Generalist

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a SR Human Resources Generalist. The primary function of this position is to deploy HR policies, practices, and programs to manage talent, drive culture, and align the organization.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Assess and select talent and train and coach managers on the process.
  • Deploy local policies and practices in alignment with values.
  • Ensure data integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate entry and gather data through HR technology systems.
  • Utilize metrics to determine the health of the organization. Ensure effective onboarding and ongoing training of all employees.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend and facilitate resolution.
  • Coach and facilitate employees and managers through workplace issues.
  • Deploy performance management systems and coach managers on the process.
  • Coordinate site-wide training initiatives and annual training plan
  • Foster a culture where ownership of health and safety is embraced by all employees. Utilize MESH to ensure compliance with state/federal safety requirements and drive "zero incidents" safety culture.
  • Support diversity initiatives and maintain governmental compliance through EEO practices
  • Understand and consider all applicable legal implications when making business decisions and protect the organization by ensuring compliance when making business decisions and protect the organization by ensuring compliance with all labor laws.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional level experience in a progressive Human Resources environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sumter, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Master's Degree or MBA

  • Proven ability to motivate and develop others
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including use of discretion, tact and judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively navigate and influence sensitive situations.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities in an extremely fast paced work environment.
  • Understanding of Federal and State employment and labor laws
  • Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills
  • Flexible to support alternate shifts as needed

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to noise and frequently exposed to dust.
