Eaton's Electrical Sector, Critical Power Solutions (CPS) division is currently seeking a Sr. Buyer to perform Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, Resiliency and Cost Out initiatives. This position is HYBRID and can be based in Raleigh, NC., Santa Ana, CA., or Richmond, VA.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83,250 - $122,100 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Sourcing of goods and services to support CPS operations. Commodities will include Electrical Components, Electronics (SCRs, IGBTs, Transistors, Diodes and Integrated Circuits), Contract Manufacturing of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), Wire Harness, Cables and Assemblies, and other commodities as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive supplier engagement and performance through scheduled business reviews for key suppliers
- Review shortages and Open Order Report to assess materials demand as required
- Facilitate the implementation of goals and objectives between Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and the CPS Supply Chain Management (SCM) team
- Work with and evaluate Suppliers on overall performance, including pricing, on time deliveries, and planning of future orders and emergency spot buys
- Perform cost savings analysis and volume planning to identify and execute cost reduction initiatives or mitigate cost increase
- Develop new sources of supply for assigned commodities when requirements are no longer supported by production suppliers, to drive cost out, or to build supply chain resiliency
- Work collaboratively with Engineering for changes, revisions of material and New Product releases
- Coordinate with other division Sr. Buyers to develop capabilities within the approved supply base, for Production or New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Proactively investigate and support resolution of supplier Accounts Payable issues
- Understand and take action to improve supply chain resiliency around risk of component shortages during market challenges
- Analyze, prepare and present data to senior management
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Minimum three (3) years of purchasing experience
- Minimum three (3) years of SAP experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates within a 50 miles radius of Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA. or Santa Ana, C will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge and experience with digital technology and processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- CPIM or CPM certification
- Kinaxis Rapid Response Experience
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Knowledge of general manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of purchasing practices/contracting methods & strategies
- Ability to train peers or new purchasing personnel
- Knowledge of component purchasing and supply sources
