What you'll do:

The principle role of Inventory Specialist - Materials is to work with specified networks to optimise inventory, reduce slow moving ( E&O), improve DOH & work as subject mater expert (SME). This is a senior individual contributor role with ownership of DOH & driving actions across sites & various product line networks. Below will be key responsibilities,
- Responsibility & ownership of DOH across multiple networks in line with the profit plan & forecast guidelines from finance
- Ensuring that planning data (policies and parameters) on the ERP system are accurate and continuously adapted to current scenarios - define monthly KPIs for tracking the progress & drive necessary actions

- Provide analytical and decision-making support to optimize inventory across networks & drive necessary actions by participating in Sales & operations execution (S&OE) meetings
- Prepare and align inventory expectations and forecast (FC) as report out for the monthly FC process.
-Accountability for product segmentation/ assortment update for inventory planning purposes in consultation with Network planner ( raw ) and SIOP (FG). Responsible for calculation, analysis and recommendations but decision making lying with SIOP & Network Planner
- Coach, train & guide Analysts by sharing knowledge & providing the subject mater expertise

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Graduate / Preferably Post Graduate especially MBA (Operations/Supply Chain/Materials/ Production) with 10 to 14 years of relevant experience related to Inventory Management, Material Planning & supply chain management in global environments
  • CPIM, CSCP or PMP certification will be an added advantage
  • Solid understanding of SIOP, Material planning, Inventory Mgt, MRP & demand / supply challenge
  • Proficient skills level in MS Office: Advanced Excel and Power Point presentations.
  • Proficient and good hands on exposure on ERP (Preferred SAP)
  • Preferred exposure into Power BI, SQL and PowerBI query building.
  • Technology Savyness (Knowledge of Kinaxis RR will be an added advantage)
  • Excellent communication, Collaboration, Networking & presentation skills.
  • Strong in Problem solving, Strategic thinking , Drive for results & Influencing Skills

Skills:

Roles & Responsibilities:-

• Monitor current and projected inventory levels across the network vs financial targets and inventory entitlement, identifying reasons for deviation and driving corrective actions.

• Participate in S&OE meetings and report out inventory progression for ME and MPS visibility.

• Prepare and align inventory expectations and FC as report out for the monthly FC process.

• Run inventory scenarios in Kinaxis based on S&OE/RCCP inputs and align with network planners

• Accountability for product segmentation/ assortment update for inventory planning purposes in consultation with Network planner ( raw ) and SIOP (FG).

• Responsible for calculation, analysis and recommendations but decision making lying with SIOP & Network Planner

• Monitors DC and plant service levels and the impact of adjusting safety stock and other parameters

• Lead and cooperate with cross functional teams to drive inventory reduction projects and report out monthly status

• Run scenarios in Kinaxis and simulates the impacts of inventory policy changes on total inventory levels across network Monitors and drives improvement in inventory performance metrics

• Drives execution of MRP Priorized action messages (push out/cancel) with all network nodes

• E&O/Slow moving inventory tracking and actions for improvement

• MIS reporting - Daily Inventory & receipts, Tier 4 metrics (Leading indicators), >8 weeks inventory analysis, Non nettable inventory, E&O, ageing, DOH, water tank etc

• Responsible for sharing with the team, best materials management practices, continuous improvement of process, development of process standards, compliance with materials planning processes, and reporting in alignment with the network and global supply chain organization (Identify , Own & lead L2/ L3 level CI's)

• Demonstrate strong functional knowledge & working experience related to materials management & detailed understanding of concepts related to supply planning, replenishment planning, PFEP,material planning & inventory performance measures like ITR & DO
