Data Center is a complex application and a strategic growth area for Eaton. It has unique characteristics derived from the fact that it straddles IT and facility, and that the Data Center and IT are in the middle of a radical transformation due to the combination of digitization and surge of AI loads driving a fast growth in power needs on the one hand, and de-carbonization and grid saturation on other hand.

We are currently seeking a Solution Architect Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Low Voltage Switchgear with the following responsibilities:

What you'll do:

  • Provides up to level 3(advanced) system level technical support to commercial organizations for low voltage systems with particular attention to Low voltage system assemblies to IEC61439 governed or alike in Industrial and data center segments, with experience in automation a preference
  • Be the Electro-Technical systems specialist (customer solution architect level) to build low voltage system application expertise that support achieving segment strategic plans
  • Provide Level 3(advanced) technical support to commercial organizations on low voltage systems across designated segments
  • Liaise with product line management and product application experts, R+D on codes and standards and provide documented answers to commercial organizations
  • Work with commercial entities to prepare responses to requests for quotes, and provide expertise beyond their skills in design, quote optimization and de-risking activities
  • Early design projects support and evaluation of design proposals
  • Provide engineered proposals focused on Eaton's solutions to optimize design for clients
  • Support at customer meetings, virtual and face to face (when required)
  • Act as the ""technical conduit"" between commercial organizations and the design and bid team for low voltage systems
  • Support on completion of CDE (compliance, deviation and exception) project documentation for low voltage systems
  • Support on project document control

Qualifications:

  • University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 Years working in Low voltage systems

Skills:

  • Strong electrical engineering background
  • Segment systems based application knowledge with a bias to Data center's and industrial applications
  • Electrical automation and advantage IT literate
  • Familiar with electrical design tools and software
  • Fluent speaking and writing in English
  • Good communicator and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
  • Works well within pressurized environment
