The hourly rate for this position is Pay starting at $21/hr per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

What you'll do:

Eaton's Industrial Plastics Division (IPD) is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our Williamsport, MD team.

IPD provides custom complex profile plastic extrusions for a wide variety of customers and industries. Eaton's value-added fabrication-such as length cutting, hole punching, texture, and tape backing for mounting applications-provides customers with the capabilities to complete any production.

The hourly rate for this position starts at $21 per hour. Regularly scheduled work hours are between 8AM and 4:30PM inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime support is expected and encouraged.

What you'll do:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will report to the Production Supervisor and be responsible for all inbound and outbound movement of materials for the IPD team. This individual will support the team by unloading and loading trucks, receiving and putting away materials, operating a forklift to retrieve and move products and parts, and preparing product for shipment. This position will be expected to go through cross-training to flex their workload in support of other production roles and functions.
• Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned functions and handle materials per established procedures
• Load and unload trucks and perform the receiving function
• Perform inventory cycle counts
• Prepare product for shipment and process needed shipping paperwork
• Coordinate with trucking companies for pickup, delivery, and other appointments as necessary
• Communicate with IPD sales team members about customer shipments and statuses
• Use hand tools such as a bander to secure material for shipments, impact nail guns to build crates, hammer, tape measure, and other tools required to build pallets and boxes
• Perform quality inspections, including visual inspections of material during shipping and receiving processes, and identifying non-conformance
• Operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, wrapping machine, and hand tools to load and unload trucks and place material in the proper location
• Observe good housekeeping and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties
• Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs
• Cross-train and flex for other roles and job functions when necessary

All manufacturing employees at Williamsport are also responsible for:
• Complying with all Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) standards
• Complying with all work and process instructions
• Identifying improvement opportunities
• Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job
• Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
• Completing any initial or recurring training issued by the site or Eaton

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience OR a satisfactory record of recent job performance
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
• Previous experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Reside within a 50-mile radius of Williamsport, MD
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
• Candidates who are active duty military members are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using manual/electric/pneumatic tools, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials
