What you'll do:
Responsible for managing personnel and controlling the processes that are involved in the shipping, packing and dispatch of goods from the Titchfield site, and inbound & outbound freight management.
- Inbound & Outbound Freight Management - including customs & duty management, including Inward Processing scheme - Achieving cost out targets
- Export license compliance management
- Hazardous shipment compliance management
- Timely Shipping Documentation preparation, and closure of customer delivery notification.
- Dispatch of goods to meet customer requirements & OTD
- Ensure compliance of standards of packing of product to ensure safe transit to destination in accordance with company procedures
- Support in deployment of Lean processes to enable improvements in replenishment processes from Suppliers or to Customers
- Manage and develop shipping and dispatch team including arranging business support levels and overtime.
- Performance management of staff, including goal setting, regular performance reviews and developing and implementing training and development plans.
- Enable success and empowerment of employees by provision of resources, removal of barriers, driving decision making down through the team.
- Compliance to internal company 5S and LPA standards, and external audit requirements (ie HMRC, CAA, etc)
- Be responsible for and manage the interface between Eaton and HMRC on any customs related matters.
- Liaison with freight forwarders including performance reviews and query resolution.
