Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk. Our Woodridge, IL location is the leader in the distribution of finished electrical products to multiple segments. These include utilties, hospitals, data centers, arenas, and aerospace. The Shipping Clerk role offers 40-hour paid week, full benefits, 401K match plan, and vacation. The working hours would be 9:30am-6:00pm and days being Monday-Friday.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour.

What you'll do:
- Prevent and troubleshoot logistics incidents that may cause or had caused in-transit delays.
- Create and process BOL for assigned outbound shipments.
- Tracks, traces, update, and correct the status of outgoing shipments and any related shipping errors.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities for system related or operational improvements to their direct leader.
- Works to maximize asset utilization to ensure full truckloads are being shipped.
- Responsible for driver load monitoring, including resolving any issues that may affect the scheduled times for pickup or delivery, while proactively communicating to the affected customer.
- Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
- Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external customers to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic Skills):
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management, multi-tasking, ability to perform under pressure
- Verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Transportation experience within a large warehouse
- Experience with tracking shipments within a database
- Communicating with customers on orders and payment processing
Skills:
- Having both a Tactical and Strategic mindset while anticipating where issues may arise
- Ability to work thru roadblocks to achieve goals
- Time management, multi-tasking, ability to perform under pressure
- Proficiency with Accellos One WMS a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements a plus
- Seizes opportunities and proactively takes concrete actions to complete tasks. Goes the "extra mile" and persistently overcomes obstacles to improve outputs.
