Senior Solution Architect - Engineering
This is a hybrid position (3/2), based in Warsaw, Poland or Budapest, Hungary

What you'll do:
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for understanding requirements and building solution architectures for the Engineering Capability. You will apply best practices to create architectures that are secure, scalable, cost-effective, efficient, reusable, and resilient. You will participate in technical discussions, present your architectures to stakeholders for feedback, and incorporate their input. You will evaluate, recommend, and integrate SaaS applications to meet business needs, and provide architectures for integrating existing Eaton applications or developing new ones with a cloud-first mindset. You will offer design oversight and guidance during project execution, ensuring solutions align with strategic business and IT goals.
- Design solutions for customer and stakeholder needs.
- Create Dataflow and BPMN Process mappings.
- Ensure solution feasibility and sustainability.
- Evolve technical solutions for current and future needs.
- Manage nonfunctional requirements and compliance.
- Prioritize enablers and reduce technical debt.
- Enable continuous integration and delivery.
- Maintain architectural runways for products.
- Evaluate and align technical capabilities.
- Ensure designs meet Eaton's standards.
- Expand application capabilities with other Architects.
- Build ArchiMate diagrams.
- Assist with architecture maturity assessments.
- Collaborate with architects and product owners.
- Partner with cybersecurity on disaster recovery.
- Align product roadmaps for efficient rollouts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- University degree from an accredited institution is required.
- 8+ years of experience in the software industry
- Extensive software engineering experience.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, and development platforms.
- Developing secure, scalable, high-performance applications.
- Expert in software design, algorithms, and multithreading.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles.
- Experience with modern development (code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, cloud services).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity (encryption, hashing, certificates, secure coding, OWASP).
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- In-depth knowledge of Engineering capability (software and product design, R&D, IP management).
- Knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, quoting, and invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Patience and empathy with team members.
- Experience with diverse, global teams.
- Proven self-direction.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
