Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer. This role is based in our Eaton Americas Innovation Center in Brossard, Québec, Canada and offers hybrid work opportunities, as well as benefits from day one. Candidates must reside within 80km of Brossard, Québec, Canada.

Eaton's CYME International T&D is a world-class Power Engineering Solutions provider with an established reputation for customer responsiveness and technical expertise. Our solutions stand behind thousands of T&D projects in over 100 countries around the world. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the senior software developer will participate in the design and development of Web applications and automation solutions in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes technical specifications and engineering requirements for complex projects.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Prepares detailed software verification test plans.
  • Collaborates with the support team to provide an unsurpassed customer experience.
  • Coordinates all stages of the development cycle in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Participates in design workshops and project deployment activities both locally and at customer sites.
  • Evaluates new technologies and development tools.
  • Writes technical documentation.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with C#.
  • Experience with Jira and GitHub, or similar software development tools.
  • Experience with SQL, LINQ, and databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database.
  • Fluency in English and French (working proficiency in both languages). Fluency in French and English is required for this position to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners located inside and outside of Québec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future
  • Candidates must live within an 80-kilometer radius of the Brossard facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Web development.
  • Experience in software architecture.
  • Experience with other programming languages: Python, C++.
