The production support engineering team is at the forefront of supporting operations in making delivery to customers. We are involved from the supply chain to aftermarket so there is exposure to a huge range of tasks with no two days being the same. Due to growing demand and increasing order book there is an opportunity for an additional team member.

What you'll do:

As a Production Support Engineer, reporting to the Production Support Lead Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Engineering Point of contact to the AAR build line and test facility, providing guidance and direction so manufacture delays are kept to a minimum.
  • Attendance at Material Review Board to disposition non-conforming hardware, working towards a Lead engineer approval which permits the approval of Non-conformance Reports (NC's).
  • Attendance at Product Integrity Council to disposition quality escapes.
  • Review of supplier queries against parts, often dealing with obsolescence issues or design questions.
  • Managing engineering changes (drawings and test procedures) through change review board process to help drive continuous improvement and incorporate effective systems engineering practices.
  • Managing corrective and preventative action (CAPA's) utilising root cause analysis tools (5WHY's, 8D etc) where necessary.
  • Liaising with the cross functional engineering subject matter experts and drawing on their experience as needed to support engineering output.
  • Being closely integrated with Operations, Manufacturing engineering, Quality, Procurement and Programmes functions to ensure immediate delivery priorities are met.

Qualifications:

You will have experience in one or more of the following - mechanical, electro mechanical, fluid, mechanisms or structures.

Skills:

  • You are motived and proactive, driving solutions to completion.
  • You are able to juggle multiple tasks and are able to remain composed under pressure.
  • You will hold a minimum of Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an engineering related field plus an apprenticeship or an engineering degree with at least 5 years post graduate experience.
  • You are a natural problem solver, with a solutions focussed mindset.
  • You are a people person and able to integrate into the production support engineering team and to maintain the positive relationship currently help with all customers.
