Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer.

Job summary
The Product Engineer will support the Product Line Support (PLS) Engineering team by performing technical assignments related to product and process development, transfer, and improvement. This role involves evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring products meet Eaton's quality and performance standards. The Product Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product integrity and contribute to the succesful setup of the new manufacturing facility.
Job responsibilities
Support Engineering BOM audits in transitions between factories and executes BOM corrections, following procedure order.

Process drawing updates and modifications, as necessary, in support of production issues or product transitions between factories.
Lead the prototype/engineering run of transitions at receiving site.
Maintain and upgrade existing products and its documentation.
Identify and execute cost out projects to drive Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE).
Utilize Phase-Gate process to execute and follow up projects.
Comply with EQMS, Lean and Pro-Launch procedures and policies
Lead to define and implement product validation plan (DVP/PVP) according to drawing and industry requirements to meet project timing plan.
Work with Manufacturing and Quality engineering to provide technical support for production issues within the factory as well as at our suppliers.
Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA activities as needed.

Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar from an accredited institution
Years and area of experience required
- Minimum of 4 years at similar positions
Preferred Qualifications
BOM structure development and sustaining.
Previous experience supporting a manufacturing site for product inquiries.
Prior experience working in Product Engineering and/or VAVE (Value Added/ Value Engineering).
Experience with 2D model explore and modification (AutoCAD or similar).
3D/CAD experience in exploring and managing files (Inventor or similar).
Very good knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of an ERP (MAPICS, Oralcle, SAP, or similar)."
Desirable Qualifications
Plant transfer previous experience
DFMEA/PFMEA knwoledge.
Sheet metal specifications experience.
Final assembly products experience.
*Power BI knowledge.
