Senior Manager - Cloud Operations

Eaton is hiring a Senior Manager - Cloud Operations in Pune, India.

What you'll do:

Lead a highly skilled, geographically diverse cloud operations team that is responsible for monitoring and management of our multi-cloud ecosystem. They will be engaged with peer leaders to drive improvements, senior leadership on strategy and investments needed to mature the environment and provide leadership to the broader organization outside of their value stream. A key focus area will be to shepherd Eaton through a digital transformation that is not only about technology, but a shift in culture.

As a senior leader in the cloud operations space, this leader must be able to identify opportunities and lead his team in implementing solutions that will improve the operations of the environment. They will identify and help drive solutions that require collaboration with peer groups and report on those outcomes. They will target offsetting significant resource growth with refinement and automation of key processes. Lead the incident and requests management of the Multi-Cloud environment on a day-to-day basis looking for patterns and trends and taking action to address them. Be proficient at communicating at varying levels including direct interactions with senior leaders. Provide career guidance and regular feedback to the resources that report to the role and be a mentor for junior resources across the organization. They need to drive DevOps, Security and agile methodologies into all aspects of the platform.

- Collaborate with thought leaders across IT and the Business to drive business focused outcomes
- Deliver metric driven outcomes and effectively communicate status and trends to leadership
- Be visible outside of our direct sphere of responsibility, providing leadership to the broader organization
- Continue to evolve the operations team as they grow the space matures
- Work with Architects and Engineering to identify opportunities for improvements in the environment
- Establish processes and methods to efficiently operate and manage a multi-cloud ecosystem with agility and velocity
- Interface with key vendors on cloud operations and on-going management
- Collaborate with the SRE team to improve reliability of the environment through practical application and feedback
- Drive refinement of metrics that are SMART, drive action from those metrics and report outcomes to senior leadership
- Drive security into every aspect of our platform and collaborate with CYBER to provide a highly secure environment
- Heavy collaboration with CYBER on the processes and response to security events
- Drive Zero Trust operational initiatives to a successful completion

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in IT or software engineering.
10+ years relevant working experience.
