Eaton's IS AER FED is currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician. This position is based at our Bethel, CT facility.

Eaton is a premier manufacturer in the aerospace industry serving commercial, military and space technology markets.

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for varied maintenance functions within the manufacturing facility.

Core hours for this position are 7am-3:30pm.

The starting hourly range for this position is $32-$40/hour per hour.

• Mechanical repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding, roofing

• Perform monthly Preventative Maintenance (PM) checks
• Assembly, set-up and maintenance of tooling
• Assist with repair/maintenance of all plant machinery
• Mechanical troubleshooting (using a systematic process to identify root cause)
• Coordinate equipment maintenance
• Perform visual inspection and testing of equipment
• Design and fabrication of test and production equipment such as pressure cyclers, water flow stands, hydraulic and pneumatic stands, and vacuum systems
• Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Minimum of 1 year knowledge and experience in the electrical field with voltages from 24 V to 208 V
• Minimum of 1 year of knowledge and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, working with systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed HVAC Technician, Plumber, and/or Electrician preferred
• Experience with high pressure greater than 2000psi

Skills:

• Must be a safety-conscious team player (adhering to all company and OSHA work and safety rules)
• Must be able to perform work on ladders or other elevated surfaces
• Must have the ability to respond to facility emergencies during unscheduled hours
• Intermediate mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude
