Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Senior Industrialization Engineer.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Senior Industrialization Engineer will drive manufacturing and industrialization activities for new product introduction (NPI) projects through all stages of development into release for production. This position will support the development and implementation of robust manufacturing processes, as well as the associated documentation, to ensure the successful launch of new and/or improved products and processes. The Senior Industrialization Engineer role will also provide technical design support for existing products, collaborate with other functions and suppliers to facilitate efficient industrialization and to drive schedule performance while meeting safety, quality, and cost expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Coordinate the development and procurement of prototype and production tooling, fixtures, & equipment.
2. Provide technical inputs of design decisions and products changes to facilitate manufacturing, reduce cost, substitute material, improve quality and accommodate special customer needs.
3. Collaborate with the implementation of Industry 4.0 for NPI projects.
1.4. Collaborate with the design team to ensure Design for Manufacturability.
2.5. Lead prototype builds through developing pilot production lines and associated processes.
3.6. Create and implement process controls, work instructions, and standard work, and provide relevant training to plant personnel.
4.7. Drive production readiness at the plant across all functions, including production validation and issue resolution.
5.8. Collect and analyze early product and process performance data, using applicable Design for Six Sigma, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches.
6.9. Manage product cost and capital expense forecasts for NPI projects.
7.10. Support cost reduction initiatives and Continuous Improvement programs.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of engineering experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or plant operations environment.
• Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Working knowledge of part/assembly drawings and bills of materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in new product development and industrialization.
• Experience with production tooling and assembly/test fixture development.
• Working knowledge of basic quality tools, such as, capability studies and gage R&Rs.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, VA/VE, and LEAN manufacturing tools.
• Experience with shop floor control processes and technology (barcoding, product/process traceability).
• Working knowledge of core feeder processes (molding, stamping, turning, machining, brazing/welding).
• Experience working with Industry 4.0 technologies.

• Able to assemble, verify, and correlate results as well as prepare reports and present findings.
