Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist. Relocation assistance is being provided for this role!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year.

What you'll do:

Plan, develop, & administer a variety of major human resources management programs for the company including employment, wage & salary administration, employee communications, employee training and staff development, benefits & other related human resources activities; coordinate & monitor activities to ensure compliance of programs with all applicable state & federal laws, regulations & guidelines as well as conforming with Eaton corporate human resources management policies and procedures.

In this function you will:
• Serve as a key point of contact for employees to connect with the human resources department, while promoting Eaton values and providing courteous and timely service to all employees
• Lead hourly and salaried talent acquisition and management activities, including building and maintaining a successful internship program, diversity and veteran outreach, and serving as a liaison with Eaton University Relations team.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts with the Eaton Talent Acquisition Center, and Monitor employment for contingent personnel through partnership with Randstad and on-site RIS Spherion manager.
• Strengthens employee retention and engagement through establishing the standard onboarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions.
• Maintain all aspects of a strong and positive environment by supporting various employee relations activities inclusive of coaching/mentoring supervisors and frontline employees, conducting site investigations, and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
• Assist site HR Manager with local compensation for both salaried and hourly workforce, including benchmarking within Eaton & external marketplace data
• Serves as local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, coordinating with remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and coordinates benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes.
• Assist in planning, developing and administering Training and Development programs using Performance Mgt Tools, Eaton University, annual survey and certification/standard.
• Proactively implement positive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to drive improvement in morale and retention.
• Generates and analyzes regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes.
• Assist on special projects as needed, including support of ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits; participate in safety and operations audits and initiatives.
• Partners with HR Services to complete wage assessment and develop market adjustment proposal (if required).
• Facilitates the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations.
• Prepares and distributes HR related communications.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of human resources generalist experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, MBA, or Industrial Organizational Psychology
  • Minimum three (3) years of human resources generalist experience
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Experience in project management or event planning
  • Experience in employee engagement

Skills:

• Knowledge of state and federal employment and EEO laws, employee benefits administration, salary administration concepts and policies, employee relations, communications and recruitment and selection.
• Customer focus and interpersonal skills
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills, including positive interviewing and counseling skills and techniques.
• Must have a high degree of resourcefulness, tact, and persuasiveness needed in handling employee concerns and in dealing effectively with management and employees to resolve employment-related issues.
