Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The position will be based at our Charlotte, NC facility and does offer relocation assistance. The position is eligible for a hybrid work setup (3 days in office, 2 days remote each week).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you'll be at the heart of our plants Finance department, driving business success through strategic partnerships, insightful financial reporting, and thorough analysis. You'll take charge of analyzing systems and statements, and spearheading improvements that propel our business forward.

In this role, you will:
• Lead Financial Closings: Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including accounting statement preparation, financial planning, and capital spending budgeting, in collaboration with the North American Controllership.
• Analyze and Investigate: Dive deep into operational and financial data, investigate variances, identify key business drivers, and evaluate their impact on our objectives. Provide management with insightful variance analysis commentary.
• Be a Financial Partner: Collaborate with Satellite plant managers by researching, compiling, and analyzing financial data, and presenting summarized results and actionable recommendations.
• Manage Inventory: Oversee quarterly physical inventory data management through the AS400 & MAPICS Inventory management system. Prepare accurate inventory count summaries and cost revaluations, continuously improving and documenting the inventory process with other functional groups.
• Support SCM: Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Management to reduce excess and obsolete inventory and handle additional ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure Compliance: Complete year-end financial and tax reporting requirements and annual surveys for government agencies.
• Drive Process Improvement: Collaborate in a team environment to enhance financial processes through tools, systems, automation, and standardization.
• Reconcile Capital Spending: Ensure proper accounting for capital spending in accordance with Financial Policy H-5.
• Contribute to Profit Planning: Actively participate in the creation of the Profit Plan.
• Resolve Accounting Issues: Assist in resolving accounting problems related to the plants and support corporate requirements in conjunction with the North American Controllership.
• Document and Improve: Constantly review and document all processes and controls for continuous improvement.
• Take on Ad Hoc Projects: Support ad hoc projects at the Division or Group level as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Must be authorized to work in United State without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution
• Master's degree in business or finance from an accredited institution
• Knowledge of Eaton computer systems used by accounting is highly preferred (SAP, Oracle financials, Encore, Qlikview, Vista, Mentor, Power Bi, Mapics).
• Experience working in a manufacturing plant, preferably for an engineered or configured to order business.
• Experience with internal and external Audits.
• CPA or CMA

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to gauge the needs of a variety of internal customers and adapt delivery style or level of detail as appropriate.
• Process oriented and drives projects to completion.
• Ability to think strategically and see big picture in a constantly changing business environment and market.
• Attention to detail, personally committed to work quality and able to learn from mistakes.
