Eaton Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to work in the Transformer, Substation, and Regulator plants in Waukesha, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of specific project tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager. The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Perform duties in planning for facilities projects at both Badger Dr & Lincoln Ave plants.
  • Maintain, update project schedules via gantt charts.
  • As directed generate RFQ's in conjunction with SCM-12 team (as required)
  • Prepare, review and process plant drawings.
  • Generate Purchase Requests (PRs) as required for projects.
  • Document distribution to Maintenance department for equipment
  • Coordinate with Subcontractors, Vendors, and Maintenance on projects
  • Visit project sites to monitor progress conformance to plans and standards.
  • Provide the Facilities Manager with support and accurate information to maximize project management effectiveness.
  • Plan and implements the design of plants, offices, and production lines in order to maximize the use of available space and improve production efficiency to meet customer demand.
  • Estimates costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc.
  • Research facilities/process equipment for purchase and gathers data relating to their ability to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensures safety standards are met on all projects.
  • Responsible for executing sustained change management as it applies to product and processes within Plant operations. Utilizes change management techniques such as ADKAR, MOC, and OCM to effectively drive and sustain projects implementation

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree from a 4 year accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand construction, equipment, and part drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD mechanical desktop software.
  • Familiarity with MS-Project software or ability to learn.
  • SAP, Ariba software knowledge preferred but not a requirement

Skills:

  • Experience in key processes that would be useful
  • HVAC & building automation.
  • Facilities management
  • General contractor for building modifications or construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
