What you'll do:
Responsible for implementing strategies around Test Automation using HiL, PiL & MiL across Electrical & Industrial segments with strong focus on system validation Automation and new product development with strong focus on, system test coverage, compliance & industry standards. Provides Technical leadership in establishing the test automation strategies and streamlining the development processes by coordinating with teams from Eaton India Innovation Centre (Pune) and various Divisions/facilities in North America, EMEA, APAC. Develops Test Automation teams.
• Contribute to the test automation, Software/ communication protocols validations by ensuring quality and robustness of the products.

• Trains, develops and motivates subordinates to achieve their professional goals and review their accomplishments.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
• Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design
• Synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.
• Champions continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business System; DMAIC / DFSS.
Qualifications:
- BE - Electronics /Automotive/Electrical
- 6-8yrs , Test Automation
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in model-based development and validation in the automotive or electrical domain.
Skills:
• Experience in setting up Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems using National Instruments hardware and software toolchains.
• Proficient in manual and automated testing for embedded control products.
• Expertise in advanced embedded system validation toolchains such as National Instruments and dSPACE.
• Skilled in HIL software toolchains, including NI VeriStand, LabVIEW, and dSPACE.
• Experience with development tools like CANape, CANalyzer, ClearCase, ClearQuest, and knowledge in cybersecurity, robot testing, OpalRT, HTTPS, SSH, and REST.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, VBA, MATLAB scripting, C, and C++.
• Responsible for designing test procedures, automation scripts, and software tools.
• Execute tests, document test results, and manage the defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, J1939, CCP, XCP, Modbus, and serial communication.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience working in international teams highly recommended.
• Strong technical experience with GitHub action pipelines, basic Linux, and plant modeling. Proficient with R4J, JIRA, and Zephyr Squad.
• Experience in requirements, architecture, design, and test script reviews, as well as requirement-based testing, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Sound knowledge and experience with process frameworks (e.g., CMMI), including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, and configuration management tools.
• Experience collaborating with local and global suppliers for hardware/software procurement and building test lab setups. Hands-on experience with emulators and simulators.
• Conduct system and software reviews, and perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
