What you'll do:
The primary responsibility of this role is to design and development of Aerospace Fuel System Products, failure investigations, VA/VE and sustaining engineering in alignment with Aerospace Industry standards.
• Lead design and development of Aerospace Fuel System Products.
• Expertise in design & development of centrifugal, vane or gear pump, it's failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Lead NPI projects independently and drive the project through phase gate process.
• Lead sustaining engineering, VA/VE and runner projects independently.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability & Assembly assessment.
• Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concepts.

• Perform design using CAD platforms such as CATIA, PRO/E, AutoCAD etc.
• Interact with global cross functional teams for project execution and launches.
• Drive and execute New Product Design and Development, Failure Investigations, VAVE, B&P, and Sustaining Engineering projects through Eaton PROLaunch / PreLaunch / ACES Engineering processes and CI mindset.
• DFSS methodology experience is preferred. In-depth know-how of design and Analysis tools and capabilities including but not limited to - Minitab, @risk, Ansys, Advance Excel etc. to drive predictable execution on projects.
• Good understanding of various pump architectures (Centrifugal, Vane and Gear) and it's component design and development.
• Create Product Concepts & Architecture ideas and demonstrate expertise in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) basics through relevant Engineering calculations/predictions for demonstrating the feasibility of designs.
• Expertise in failure investigations, root cause analysis using 8D approach. Thorough understanding of failure modes and physics of failure for hydraulic/ fuel pumps and valves.
• Expertise on Analytical and CAD Tools (CATIA, CREO, AutoCAD, MathCAD, Matlab/Simulink, CfX, ADL, etc.). Has expertise with executing Limits, Fits & Tolerancing calculations with GD&T.
• Execute technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments for every deliverable as per project scope. An additional responsibility of managing the project/program financials as appropriate.
• Execute leadership across the Project(s). Seek cross functional team input to promote a rapid resolution to issues. Provides feedback on performance indicators.
• Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope, and risk assessment.
• Manage effective customer communications. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communication & managing customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
• Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the project team.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.
Desired: Master's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.
• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electro-Mechanical or Mechatronics Domain)
• Master's degree - 4 to 6 years experience or Bachelor's degree - 6 to 8 years experience,
• Min 3 years of experience in Product Engineering, Design, Development and Validation of Aerospace, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical products.

• Lead the creation of the integrated project plans & schedules and project budget in partnership with the PM, team and the organization.
• Manage, forecast, and report on project budget/schedule.
• Provide visible technical leadership traits to guide, and coach team/members in order to galvanize a team for accomplishing common objectives/goals.
• Build strong customer relationships and anticipates/delivers customer-centric solutions
• Know-how of Aerospace Product Testing and Qualification - DO160 and failure investigation, FRACA (RCA, FTA, 8D)
• Demonstrate leadership in a professional society and/or published technical work through professional or trade media.
