Senior Electronics Engineer

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer. This role is based out of our Moon Township, PA location on a hybrid schedule. We are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

The Senior Electronics Engineer will perform electronic circuit design, both analog and digital, for products related to residential and commercial circuit protection devices. In addition, the person in this role will support and develop firmware and software for embedded systems/micro-controllers.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Participate in the design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and microprocessor support circuits.
  • Support firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with an emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton business.
  • Support the research and development of business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace.
  • Drive enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton's strategic plans.
  • Support the technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers.
  • Contribute to domestic and international project teams assigned to research, design, develop, test and/or launch new innovations; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Participate in product certification activities - UL / CSA
  • Act as a technical advisor to product line managers and/or manufacturing engineers throughout the New Product Introduction process.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar function from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical/electronic engineering design positions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electronic or Electromechanical Engineering, computer science, or similar function.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience related to electrical product design/development.
  • Computer knowledge: MS Office, Familiarity with PADS, Altium and CAD tools, C programming language for embedded designs.

Skills:

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Coordinate project activities with other engineering units to facilitate on time project completion.
  • Act as an advisor and mentor to other engineering talents to help development of new talent within Eaton.
