What you'll do:

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position is hybrid as long as you live within 50 miles of our location in Raleigh. Relocation benefits and sponsorship will be provided within the United States only.

Position Overview:
Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, surge protection devices (SPD), batteries, Power distribution, monitoring/metering equipment and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our employees deliver mission-critical solutions to our customers' most challenging energy management requirements.

In this function, you will:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with overall manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation and schematics for electrical systems.
• Develop electrical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products, per approved engineering specifications.
• Support Senior Engineers for the planning and testing and Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products.
• Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Prepare cost reduction proposals for new and existing products based on cost trades, design improvements and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) process.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions.
• Work with Production to find more efficient methods of producing work.
• Execute project activities with cross functional teams.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited institution, with graduation no later than May 2025
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical engineering role

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Autodesk Vault, or similar programs.
• Experience in design and of electrical systems and preparation of electrical drawings (schematics, powerflow, one line, etc)
• Knowledge of high-power product design
• Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and power conversion topologies
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
