Role Overview
Join our Customer Experience organization at Eaton as a Senior BI Data Analyst. Transform data into powerful insights that drive strategic decision-making. Create and optimize interactive dashboards, streamline data workflows, and uncover insights to enhance business performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet their data needs and mentor junior analysts.
What you'll do:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance Power BI dashboards that offer clear, actionable insights to stakeholders across various departments.
- Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and visually compelling, effectively communicating trends and key metrics and answers the most relevant business questions.
- Experience with Cloudera, Snowflake, or similar cloud-based data warehousing platforms, along with proficiency in SQL for manipulating, querying, and extracting data from various sources.
- Streamline data workflows and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and data reliability across projects.
- Use both descriptive and predictive analytics to provide strategic insights, supporting initiatives like forecasting, performance tracking, and operational improvements.
- Synthesize complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that are accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as a data consultant, working closely with stakeholders across departments to understand their objectives and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions to align BI solutions with business goals.
- Present data insights and recommendations in a clear and impactful way, catering to different levels of technical understanding.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, supporting their skill development and helping them build confidence in data analysis and BI tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
Skills:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar data-focused role.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Expert proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, MS-SQL and O365 tools with a demonstrated ability to create and manage data models and ETL processes.
- Experience with Cloudera, Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing platforms.
- Comprehensive SharePoint knowledge about List management and Document libraries
Big plus if you have:
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools, such as Dataverse, Power Automate and Power Apps
- Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification
- Competence in Python programming
