Senior Analyst - Channel Pricing

Wildwood, MO

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Senior Analyst - Channel Pricing. This role is based out of our Ellisville, MO location.

Responsible for the analysis and approval of Special Price Authorizations (SPAs) requested by sales employees and representatives. The analyst is responsible for determining appropriate product pricing strategies using analytical tools, market analysis and pricing models. Implements procedures to ensure that the special pricing terms are administered within company guidelines and division pricing targets are met.
This position will work together with National Account Managers and the Electrical Distribution sales team to evaluate and respond timely to all pricing inquiries, proposals, and requests. Provide analysis and guidance to the account managers and product managers to ensure accurate pricing strategies are implemented based on regional, channel, and customer segment. The Pricing Analyst will need to verify costing, risk assumptions and margin guidelines for various product options to provide appropriate recommendations and approval.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $78750.0 - $115500.0 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Approves and negotiates quotations received from outside sales force based on experience, market knowledge, margin analysis, and analytics to determine quotation amount.
  • Respond timely to the business opportunity as well as begin initial negotiations on pricing proposal terms.
  • Work directly with National Account Managers, Electrical Distribution sales team, and product managers on the analysis and management of pricing levels and quote requests
  • Manages service level agreements for the "flow" of contracts through the department from receipt to the generation of the contract letter to the customer.
  • Perform profit/price analysis by customer, product, market segments, etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external constituencies.
  • Proactive research and analysis calling out nuances of agreements, including deviations from standard terms and highlighting contract complexities.
  • Ability to learn and apply new procedures quickly and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex business problems and ensure pricing processes and methodologies are defined and effectively applied
  • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of most Bussmann products.
  • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of market level pricing for Bussmann products.
  • Understand Bussmann's sales and marketing strategies to determine appropriate pricing

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in from an accredited institution
  • 2 years prior pricing/contract experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States on a permanent and on-going basis without requiring company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business from an accredited institution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with an intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Excel including V-Look-Ups, Pivot Tables, Macros and Templates
  • Prior pricing/contract experience of at least 3 years
  • Experience with SAP and Business warehouse reporting tool
  • Comprehensive understanding of Electrical Distribution Channel

  • Strong independent decision-making, problem-solving and collaborative skills.
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and must work well in both a team and individual environment.
  • Strong computer skills to quickly learn and utilize other computer software programs.
