What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Coordinate and maintain the production schedule and shipping program of parts to ensure an environment which supports plant, divisional and corporate defined goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Review open orders delivered by customers. Analyze customer requirements and prioritization of orders for assembly to assure we are building in the correct sequence to avoid customer line disruption & maintain on-time delivery. React to demand changes by communicating this to Materials Management Organization.
B. Check available production capacity and compares to current forecast. Make proposal of necessary changes to adjust to customer needs or/and capacity constraints

C. Prepare daily assembly schedule using Oracle. Prepare daily summary of past due and ten-day assembly/shipping demand.
D. Create and prepare shipping schedules based on customer requirements and finished good availability.
E. Measure MPS accuracy comparing to real production, Supplier and Client Delivery Rating system reports ( OTD)
F. Daily review of open schedules and part status with Assembly & Shipping to assure on-time delivery.
G. Communicate with Galesburg Customer schedulers to address changes and issues with assembly and shipping demand.
H. Prepare and analysis spreadsheet of assembly/shipping schedule model mix. Communicate significant model mix changes to the organization.
I. Continually work to improve the scheduling process.
J. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

Qualifications:
A. Bachelor's degree in administration or related fields.
B. 2 - 4 years' experience in area (Similar role) Machining process background preferably
C. English - language capability, speaking, reading & writing required 80%
D. Broad knowledge in routings, processes and bills of materials.
E. Broad knowledge in Supply chain.
F. Programming and control of production.
G. Review and analysis of demand.
H. PC Programs (Windows, Oracle)
I. Advanced intermediate level of Microsoft Office

A. Requires the ability to think quickly, analyze several different alternatives at the same time and make best decisions possible based on information available.
B. Incumbent is required to interface with internal departments to either supply or be supplied with information critical to the performance of the job.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
A. Inventory Management & Optimization. The ability to ensure product availability through inventory administration activities such as demand planning, stock optimization, and monitoring the age of the product.
B. Demand Management. The use of qualitative and quantitative methods to predict short-term incoming demand for use as an input into the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
C. Order Management. The knowledge and skills necessary to manage the receipt and scheduling of customer orders. Processes included in this competency include standard order receipt, exception identification, and exception resolution.
D. Master Production Scheduling. The knowledge and creation of an overall production plan over a specified time horizon which includes a list of part numbers, quantities, and due dates.
