Eaton's Critical Power Solutions organization is currently seeking a Communications Specialist. This role will report directly to the Critical Power Solutions Human Resources Director. The position will be hybrid with an expected 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Eaton's 12-month paid returnship will give participants a multitude of opportunities to make an impact across a global organization. All ReSurge participants will join a cohort with a unique learning and development experience. Each participant's assignment experience will be customized to help them reach their highest potential; no two participants will have the same experience or set of responsibilities.

What you'll do:

Please note the Eaton ReSurge cohort will begin their 12-month assignment in March of 2025.

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for helping drive strategic and tactical communications programs to advance business strategic initiatives across the Critical Power Solutions business. This position will interact closely with members of the Critical Power Solutions leadership team, as well as members of leadership across our locations in Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA, and Santa Ana, CA. This position will be responsible for developing various content using several types of media for intranet, publications newsletters, e-boards, presentations, and other internal communication channels, as well as externally through media such as LinkedIn.
A particular focus will be placed on:
• Proactively researching and identify groups of stakeholders and communication needs across the business and creating relevant distribution lists and cadences for overall communication needs.
• Leveraging existing internal communication tools and best practices, the Communications Specialist will collaborate with various members of the corporate communications team, seeking out communication opportunities for their individual initiatives.
• Enhancing employee communication experiences by developing strategies to optimize business communication effectiveness, ensuring clarity and effective communication of updates to the varying employee/stakeholder groups.
• Creating, coordinating, and executing on communications logistics (i.e., stakeholder group, required content, length, initial presentation layout, etc.).
• Assessing the effectiveness of communication campaigns, creating, and utilizing metrics and feedback to refine future implementation strategies.
• Strong aptitude for verbalizing, writing, editing, and publishing audience-specific content.
• Robust foundational knowledge or quick learning agility of Microsoft Office tools including (but not limited to) Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Viva Engage and Excel
• Ability to influence and direct colleagues at all organizational levels, managing the needs of different stakeholders both internal and external to Eaton.
• Virtual presentation skills
• Ability to work independently on a matrixed, decentralized team with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and at least 3+ years of relative work experience
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of location will be considered.
• Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ year of a voluntary career break from your profession.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Experience using Eloqua by Oracle
• Exposure to SAP, Sales Force, Bluebeam, Vista, Global Vista, and/or JIRA a plus

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role is $90,000 a year.
