What you'll do:
- Leads the development, management and oversight of standard supply chain processes and develops APAC strategies through consensus building to implement enterprise-wide cost effective improvements for Eaton. This position develops long term category strategic planning, creates category metrics and ensures category strategies are aligned, deployed and meet the requirements of Supply Chain Management across Eaton APAC operations. Position is accountable for effectively implementing Eaton's strategic plan and managing measurable results. This position is responsible for driving the sourcing strategies for Indirect Capital and support VG indirect operation with Wuxi and Jining plant.
- Develop strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.
- Negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.
- Optimize supply base by benchmarking and understanding latest technology/market trend for Capital and IT category including Smart warehousing, AGV/AMR, production line automation, 5G, China Mobile management etc.
- Review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
- Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, ECO etc) are achieved.
- Advise on new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
- Benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.
- Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies.
- Plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.
- Work and align with global category managers for Enterprise Category strategy and deployment in APAC
- Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually
- Lead strategic projects across APAC business to ensure alignment with APAC category strategy
- Work with VG indirect team at Wuxi and Jining plants to ensure compliance of sourcing process, meeting all KPIs including Cost out, DPO, e-Bidding etc
- Monthly performance review with Global Corp Indirect team and VG indirect team, and work on gap closure with site buyers and also CI team
- Work with VG indirect team to ensure all projects loaded into Costverse and ensure accuracy

Qualifications:
- Bachlor degree is a must and Master/MBA is plus
- Minimum 5 years IDM experience
Skills:
- Engineering/Quality on Direct material is preferred
- Is an acknowledged expert in identifying and understanding current trends in supply chain management specific to services, direct and /or indirect materials.
- Exhibits excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, (internal and at the suppliers), operations and supply chain management personnel.
- Demonstrates ability in strategic process creation and implementation.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out.
- Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional in the development, implementation, and achievement of business results for cross-functional business initiatives and category strategies.
- Must be able to take a leadership role in driving change in the organization.
- Must be a creative thinker and have a vision of how to drive the organization to the next level of strategic category management.
- Must have a demonstrated ability in the area of strategic process creation and implementation
- Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks globally
- Must be able to identify and implement emerging supply management tools.
- Must have strong motivation and mentoring skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Global business experience is required with experience in negotiating with global suppliers.
- Must have the ability to directly lead and manage people within the organization
