Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Receiving Clerk -2nd Shift. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

The receiving clerk will check in trailer loads of shipments from suppliers and work as part of the team to unload the truck. Once the goods are unloaded the receiving clerk is responsible to ensure deliveries are accurate. This person is responsible for counting the goods and cross checking that total with the purchase orders or ASNs.

What you'll do:

• Compare packing lists to purchase orders / ASNs to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Manage incoming deliveries for the warehouse and signing for the shipments.
• Tracking receipts and efficiently troubleshoot any delivery discrepancies.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with receiving inspection on any damaged goods and or count / label discrepancies.
• Handling paperwork and data entry related to the received goods in the ERP system.
• Capable of utilizing transportation management systems and coordinating delivery times with freight carriers. (LTL & FTL)
• Tracks, traces, update, and correct the status of inbound deliveries and any related receiving errors.
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Identifies and communicates opportunities for system related or operational improvements to their direct leader.
• Works to maximize asset utilization to ensure receipts are performed in a timely manner.
• Responsible for driver load monitoring, including resolving any issues that may affect the scheduled times for delivery, while proactively communicating to the Materials Manager.
• Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture.
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external customers to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
• Basic knowledge of ERP / Warehouse management systems.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading)
• Relocation is not provided. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN will be considered.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle ERP and or WMS experience
• 3 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment
• Transportation experience within a large warehouse
• Forklift certification a plus
• Good organizational and time management skills
