What you'll do:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer works directly with the Value Stream cross functional team to investigate and close production quality concerns and customer concerns, complete root cause analysis and to realise improvement in product quality and Quality metrics. The Quality Engineer is comfortable speaking to all levels of business and all functions (e.g. operators, managers, directors, technical departments, customers and suppliers), and is able to build strong working relationships across all departments in the business and is fluent in using quality tools to build and improve quality performance.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and high pressure environment within an existing product line team. The Quality Engineer has a positive can-do attitude and looks for and drives opportunities to improve product quality and reduce DPPM and cost of non-conformance.
- Work closely with Aftersales to resolve warranties; Compiling customer reports and communications.
- Investigate Customer, product, process and supplier non-conformances from initial data analysis through to the verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Regularly report and communicate on metrics and quality performance.
- Perform and control QMS audits in accordance with ISO 9001, IEC 80079-34 and any other system requirements.
- Continually work with colleagues to ensure that all processes meet ongoing best practice, ISO compliance and SIL compliance.
- Work collaboratively with Supply Chain to ensure product and process is met and continually improved.
- Use quality tools to build and improve quality performance.
- Able to communicate quality, technical product and documentation requirements to colleagues and suppliers in a concise and helpful manner.
Qualifications:
- ISO 9001
Skills:
- Competent and demonstrable in English and Mathematics. Italian language is desirable but not expected.
- Experience in a similar role.
- ISO 9001 auditor. Understanding of technical drawings. Knowledge of explosive atmospheres.
- Confident communicator. Attention to detail. Positive can-do attitude
