Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a QA Manager.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

A. Driving strategic direction of the business and ensuring achievement of operating and production objectives consistent with quality assurance requirements and customer, optimizing the utilization of the workforce to minimize manufacturing costs.

B. Participates as a key member of plant manager's staff in all critical decisions impacting facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. This position provides overall leadership for OPEX & Quality.

B. . Key responsibilities include driving the Strategic Quality Plan at the operational level, defining and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure our continued success in the deployment of the Eaton Business System by utilizing the Eaton Lean System, 6 sigma, and prolaunch.

C. Development of short and long range strategic business to align our resources to meet future customer needs and drive superior operating results..

D. Driving strategic direction of the business and ensuring achievement of operating and production objectives consistent with quality assurance requirements and customer, optimizing the utilization of the workforce to minimize manufacturing costs.

E. Establish and maintain budgets, manpower and equipment requirements to support the needs of the customer both internally and externally.

F. Provide leadership that will enable subordinate personnel to develop and deploy the EBS toolbox: Eaton Lean System, Six Sigma, and prolaunch.

G. Ensure that systems and operations are compliant with prescribed quality system requirements and identify and implement improvement opportunities.

H. Manage processes, material, and personnel to ensure that finished material is shipped according to schedules & according to customer requirements. This includes internal and external customers.

I. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

J. Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.

K. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

A. Industrial Engineering degree or related fields required.

B. 5 - 7 years experience in a management position within a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive)

C. English - language capability, speaking, reading & writing required

D. Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance plant engineering, production/materials planning, maintenance needs and systems application.

E. EBE (or equivalent process) examiner or organization leader, six sigma qualification would also be beneficial.

F. Broad financial knowledge for asset management, budgeting and profit plan obtainment.

G. Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.

H. Strong leadership skills must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A. This position requires some travel.

B. It requires the use management skills, act as a liaison for associates at all levels.

C. Support continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed customer requirements in a fast paced environment.

D. Participate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives.

E. Establish a timely response for corrective actions to help drive continuous improvement through the Environmental Management Program.

F. Utilizing the prolaunch process, direct the transfer, start-up and development of new technologies or new processes; promotes and applies the continuous improvement.

G. Develop and implement positive employee relations (Eaton Philosophy) to encourage employee involvement and to create an environment in which employees see no need for third party intervention.

H. Proactive & results driven

I. Production may be stopped if someone suspects there maybe a quality problem.

J. Ability to work & lead in a highly matrixes environment.

K. Participate actively in Eaton's initiatives such as community involvement, diversity and wellness.
