Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Purchasing Lead Buyer.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for leading a team of +7 people focused on executing procurement-to-pay processes for assigned Aerospace facilities. This person will provide leadership to execute corporate initiatives, while building organization capability, providing process management, capacity for growth, delivering a high quality of customer service with ongoing continuous improvement. The role will require individual to be familiar with a complete range of procurement functions, such as materials purchased, negotiations with suppliers and the ongoing management of supplier relationships both directly and through his/her subordinates. It is imperative that this individual be capable of training and developing subordinates to support and manage these activities that support the sites in the procure-to-pay functions. This position will be involved in leading and managing overall operational deliverables of that function. This position will also require that the individual provides both daily leadership and ongoing development of the Tijuana SSCT. This is a single site role with multisite scope of the assigned aerospace facilities that it serves

A. Manage the activities of the SSC - Tijuana organization from both a short term and long term perspective to execute the supply chain functional strategy of the corporation.
B. Build organizational capability and capacity, fostering employee involvement in continuous improvement efforts, through empowering teams and team members to be decision makers in a customer-oriented environment. Identify the right skill set needed for the organization and recruit right talent into organization.
C. Follow annual operating and performance measurement plans that align resources with regional and corporate goals and objectives. Establish monitoring mechanisms to identify both areas for improvement and recognition.
D. Work collaboratively functional managers and other SCM business/function/regional leaders to deploy on any new process, system deployment in this area to meet requirements on time, on budget.
E. Develop site relationships and monitor satisfaction on a regular basis, aligned with global SCM approach and process. Customers will include both sites and other SCM Corp activities, and will require significant interaction, including face to face project reviews. Responsible for service levels and establishing improvement levels on a continuous basis.
F. Ensure integrity and accuracy of all information reported to internal and external customers. Promote quality culture within the SCMSSC -
G. Drives continuous improvement in process and personnel through the development and administration of a relevant skills enhancement (training) program.

Qualifications:

A. Advanced, in-depth knowledge on supply chain and industry.
B. 3 to 5 years Supply Chain experience

C. Experience at a Multi-National Corporation
D. Strong Leadership Skills

E. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication (including presentation) skills
F. Adaptable to varying cultures
G. Strong customer orientation, preferably having direct experience in a service-related industry
H. Strong ethical approach and strong personal values - role model for the regional SCM organization
I. Vision and strong program management skills, including change management
J. Ability to lead and coordinate multi discipline, multi-functional teams
K. Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change
L. Strong drive for results
M. Self-directed leadership with minimal supervision & capability to be self-directed & potential to be empowered to next functional level where appropriate
N. English language fluency (writing, reading and speaking)
