Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

Due to the expansion of the team, we are currently looking for a Facility Subproject Manager in Vantaa.

What you'll do:

As a Project Support Manager - Facility and Constructionyou will be responsible for leading the facility subproject to ensure facility to meet business growth requirements. You are going to lead the internal requirements planning, co-operation with other subproject teams, construction companies & other stakeholders, planning and execution of the floor space usage in facility. Further responsibilities are:

  • Establish facility subproject team
  • Lead the subproject planning, designing and execution
  • Define facility infra to meet business requirements and investigate need for factory extension
  • Active cooperation with support subproject teams, to harmonize he plans, and support them be able to implement required facility changes
  • Ensure optimal facility space usage, design and execute layout changes to meet business needs
  • Define needs for subcontracting to optimize layout and support growth
  • Main contact towards Property management agency and other facility service providers and landlord
  • Ensure local regulatory, insurance company, and Eaton specific requirements concerning the facility are implemented throughout the facility extension project
  • Participate meetings with construction company on planning, and also on construction site meetings
  • Project covers collecting and summarizing the business needs for the layout optimization and possible facility extension
  • Co-operate with Eaton stakeholders to get quotations from service providers
  • Provide information and required plans for possible execution of layout changes and facility extension, being the link between service providers, construction company and Eaton on down to detail level choices
  • Coordinating with project management and finance on financial planning and cost tracking

Qualifications:

  • 5 year experience with facility and construction management
  • Strong knowledge on safety regulations and other safety topics
  • University degree

Skills:

  • Experience on Engineering in Property Management
  • Project management skills & tools
  • Ability to lead change
  • Negotiations skills, communication skills, project management skills, financial understanding related to project, influencing skills
  • Fluent Finnish and English
  • Coordination skills with various stakeholders
