Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Production Team Lead.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the Production Manager, Eaton's Electrical Sector is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee mechanical assembly of switchboards on our Afternoon Shift (1:30pm - 10:00pm). This position is based at our Milton, Ontario location and is expected to work Monday to Friday with the ability to work overtime occasionally.
Production Team Leads coordinate activities of the department, ensuring the production schedule is met and key site metrics are achieved. The successful candidate will lead by example in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement and ethics.

• Communicate daily production goals to the manufacturing team.
• Ensure the team is continually made aware of all functional goals surrounding production, safety, quality, continuous improvement and ethics.
• Monitor the status of multiple projects at a time, frequently troubleshooting issues using digital tools such as Oracle and DMM.
• Monitor the production team for performance, continually sharing feedback and concerns with the Production Manager.
• Lead effective (Tier 1) production meetings and be an active participant in Team Lead (Tier 2) meetings.
• Be an expert on and provide training and feedback to the team with respect to manufacturing knowledge and technical skills, including but not limited to assembly fundamentals, understanding electrical drawings and models, auditing the BOMs, and processes such as MRB, KANBAN, Engineering Turnbacks, etc.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the plant's inventory by strictly following the established pick process, ensuring Oracle transactions are done, ensuring KANBAN is scanned consistently and performing audits of completed pick sheets.
• Run pick reports in Oracle, coordinating the work of the department's warehouse picker.
• Be an active participant in production kickoff meetings.
• Order supplies and materials for the department through Ariba.
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience either as a lead hand or team lead, supervising or leading others formally or informally.
- No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON to be considered.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant personal experience assembling or leading the assembly of engineered to order electrical equipment or similar.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools.
- Post-secondary education.

• Effective computer skills with demonstrated ability and willingness to use the digital tools of the business, which includes email, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint and JOE apps.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; able to contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment and de-escalate conflict.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing mechanical tools and measuring equipment required for assembly.
• Demonstrates Eaton's leadership attributes and is a champion for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Continuous Improvement.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting.
