Production Supervisor

Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This role is onsite at our Amarillo, TX facility. Relocation is not provided for this role.

Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction, and solar solutions. Built in 1981, the Amarillo facility, with approximately 140 team members, is a thriving iron foundry that serves our customers with a variety of parts, including conduits, covers and fittings.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

As a Production Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction for a work group within the plant. You will track performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, on-time delivery, cost for their respective area. In addition, you are the first line contact between production employees and the management staff.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct Daily Team stand-up meeting with all department personnel in area of responsibility
  • Represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor
  • Help drive and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance
  • Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardize work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented where necessary
  • Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job
  • Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies
  • Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlines

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Amarillo, TX to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machining experience (CNC, Kaufman, manual machining, etc.)
  • Three (3) years of related experience including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP business system experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office platform.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement projects.
