Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. This position is based at our Calgary, AB manufacturing facility. The workikng hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-1pm.
What you'll do:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees to deliver excellence to our customers, ensure delivery schedules are met, provide guidance on production methods/procedures and assign duties. The Production Supervisor will ensure that production is managed in an efficient and safe manner and will have interaction at all levels of the organization, including external customers. In addition, this individual will provide coaching and direction to their team, while driving accountability in the business; ultimately leading the organization to achieve its business level and strategic goals.

Our Calgary, AB facility is one of six Eaton Satellite locations across Canada. The Satellites comprise of smaller to medium assemble-to-order facilities and complement our large manufacturing facilities within Canada. Local site product lines may include standard panelboards, switchboard, control and custom control product assemblies as required.
Additionally:
- Supervise production employees and coordinate workforce to ensure customer and operational requirements are being met.
- Responsible for continuing Eaton's zero-incident safety culture in and keeping safety as the top priority in all decision-making processes.
- Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and rule enforcement to safety legislative and company requirements.
- Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels.
- Supervise manufacturing employees involved in the assembly process including performance, absenteeism and vacations.
- Facilitate continuous improvement opportunities with an emphasis on identifying cost-savings.
- Promote quality objectives by clarifying quality standards and goals to production employees, as well as monitoring and improving systems in place to maximize quality and productivity.
- Apply Lean manufacturing at a departmental level using lean tools and philosophies.
- Report production progress to applicable parties, e.g Satellite Manager, Shipping, Marketing. Communicate and escalate process issues and opportunities that arise.
- Work closely with Supply Chain team to maintain and control adequate inventory of tools for employees.
- Manage and enforce safety and housekeeping standards including maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and orderly condition.

Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
- College diploma or University degree from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Two (2) years of experience as a manager of people.
- No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80km of Calgary, Alberta to be considered.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
