Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Production Scheduler. This position is based at our Airdrie, AB manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for receiving customer orders, customer schedules, forecasts and translating into the Master Production Schedule to assure that matched sets of materials and capacities are available to meet targets of on-time delivery, productivity, inventory, and capacity utilization. In addition, there will also be material planning and purchasing responsibilities.
What you'll do:
- Execute, plan, and schedule orders for an ETO manufacturing production line- effectively coordinating between customer service, engineering, production, and supply chain teams to fulfill orders and meet on-time goal.
- Actively work with material planning team to ensure challenges are identified and escalated as needed to meet customer request dates and provide input to the material planners on order forecast to manage planning Bills to meet customer demand
- Perform root cause analysis for material availability and recommend/implement solutions to optimize inventory levels and manufacturing schedules
- Manage on-time performance for the assigned product line; root cause delays and develop corrective action to address issues
- Work with the coordinators across departments to ensure materials are engineered, picked, and manufactured in accordance with the Master Production Schedule
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve the scheduling function.
- Plan and order direct and indirect materials. Manage POs, invoices to ensure timely ordering, receipt of materials/services and payment of invoices
- Perform purchasing functions for respective product line as well as MRO in Oracle R12 MRP and SAP Ariba respectively
- Daily review of MRP/MPS material workbench to release orders and issue POs
- Control inventory impact by analyzing inventory levels vs consumption as well as manage item attributes in MRP
- Address inventory opportunities for disposal of slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory
- Work with Quality on Non-Conforming components for timely disposition.
- Support cost reduction projects and other improvement initiative to achieve overall business objectives

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution
- One year of experience in production scheduling or materials planning within a manufacturing environment
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Must currently reside within an 80km radius of the working location to be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- University Degree or College Diploma specializing in Supply Chain or Business
- Three years of experience in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in Oracle, SAP Ariba, WISPER or other ERP/MRP systems
