Eaton's Mission Systems division is currently seeking a Production Engineer (2:30pm - 11pm). This position is located in the growing Quad Cities, specifically in Davenport, IA. The expected annual salary range for this role is $52499.97 - $80850.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Production Engineer will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing technology and processes at our rapidly expanding Davenport, Iowa facility. This person will be responsible for setting up and improving the manufacturing processing for the Body Fuel Tank Program.

• Performs assigned Manufacturing Engineering assignments with only general direction and considerable discretion as to the best application of standard manufacturing processes
• Evaluate the manufacturability of parts and assemblies and suggest improvements
• Develop and document production and assembly processes
• Provide training and technical support to hourly personnel for new processes
• Analyze and refine existing processes that do not consistently yield acceptable results
• Analyze discrepant parts or units as required to determine whether a process problem exists
• May participate on various teams for design review, configuration control, process improvement, etc, as assigned
• May write CNC programs
• Conduct projects and studies involving process or product improvements, process control and the analysis of technical problems with limited supervision and guidance
• Estimate production or rework labor for parts or assemblies
• Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles
• All other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Engineering field OR 3 years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 years' experience troubleshooting and analyzing problems in a logical manner, identifying the root cause of a problem, then developing a corrective action plan that will solve the problem permanently
• 1 Year experience using MS Office Products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in an office, lab, shop floor, and indoor industrial environment
