Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Product Manager - Network Class UPS to join our team.
Cradle to grave product management of the Network-Class UPS portfolios. Own the customer lifecycle experience of the offering including pricing, quotation, sales support, and issue escalation. Direct and oversee new product development initiatives in product category for both disruptive and incremental outcomes. Meet product line metrics including revenue, margin, and inventory. Support team initiatives by managing the digital content, driving thought leadership, marketing messaging, and implementing continuous process improvement. Support team portfolio management activities including road mapping and business case creation. Maintain key organizational relationships with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders. Determine the forecasts for product line and participate in the forecasting process from a PM perspective.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120,075 - $176,110 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
- Work closely with Product Line Mgr. and Product Sales Manager, and the other cross functional team to achieve Line-interactive UPS Profit Plan Financials annually. Attain orders, sales, margin, and vitality sales objectives for new products developed. Business Development for product line.
- For Line-interactive UPS: new product development, own, lead and execute the VOC (voice of customer) process & collection into the product line for the D-IT market segment. Transform inputs into new product development ideas and projects. Execute all Marketing responsibilities and documentation required in Pro-Launch new product development projects. Provide Product Roadmap input and drive key alignment to business, sales, and SCM teams.
- Execute product launches (hard and soft) for Line-interactive UPS, working closely with marketing communications, engineering and product line teams.
- Develop, update and implement Line-interactive UPS Marketing plan (annual). Create required product line sales tools, collateral and communications. Lead product line's participation in division wide marketing programs (i.e. trade shows, Tech Advantage events, etc.).
- Work closely with the Product Line Mgr. And the other APMs in strategic planning and the development of Line-interactive UPS product line strategic plan.
- Perform competitive analysis and development product competitive comparisons as needed. Maintain a pulse on the competition (their product offering, footprint, and go to market strategy).
- Provide regular market update / analysis (with projections) and market intelligence to the product line manager. Support PLM with forecasting as required.
- Create and update Presentations and spreadsheets as needed (Ops reviews, profit plan, staff meetings, NAS meetings, customer meetings, market share files, etc.). Support and back up PLM in assigned meetings.
- Provide product training / develop training materials for Customers, DIT sales personnel and DIT channel partners.
- Travel as required in position to get VOC data and to perform essential functions detailed above.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing
- 4+ years experience in Product Management, Sales, Marketing, or Engineering experience
- 3+ years of technical knowledge of single-phase UPS systems
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Business
- Demonstrated track record driving product line growth
- Understanding of PROLaunch Product Development process or similar stage gate process
- Strong executive presence
- Experience with SAP, Enovia, and Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) is desired
- Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of marketing techniques including experience in sales
- Familiarity with PCM and/or PDH (Product Data Hub) for updating product information
