Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Product Manager - DC Chargers. This position offers a Hybrid work schedule at any of the following Eaton facilities: Raleigh NC, Peachtree GA, Pittsburgh PA (Moon Twp.), City of Industry (Los Angeles, CA) Relocation provided, if needed.

The Product Manager provides leadership in formulation and implementation of product strategy, marketing plans and growth programs, and new product development / customer value propositions to enhance sales and profitability growth for the Connected Solutions product line. The product manager leads all aspects of VOC (voice of customer), administering the process and implementing collection for the product line. This role drives and completes all marketing activities and documents required for Pro-Launch New Product Development projects. It also is involved in business development with the extended product line and engineering team.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year.

What you'll do:

The Product Manager works closely with the Connected Solutions Engineering team and CRDS product line teams to drive customer solutions and innovation. The Product Manager will have an excellent knowledge of DC fast charging technology, as well as the product line's customers (Contractors, Distributors), and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of selling new and emerging technologies.

In this role:
• Contribute to the strategic plan, product roadmaps, and profit / growth plans (organic & inorganic).
• Effectively plan and execute the go-to-market strategy in alignment with the strategic plan.
• Provide application expertise on Electric Vehicle charger specifications, system sizing, competitive evaluation, and product requirements needed to ensure product line success.
• Provide application guidance, data analysis, and technical insight into customer RFP/RFI initiatives.
• Lead the DC charger product roadmaps by working collaboratively with all regions (EMEA and APAC) and engineering teams to bring innovative solutions to the market in a timely manner.
• Execute product roadmap, based on VOC, and deliver key products and features to the market in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Develop and build the business with key / target customer attainment.
• Commercial leadership: provide commercial guidance to teams (Americas and Global), address customer issues/needs, collaborate with sales organization, and develop the channel as required.
• Perform periodic reviews of markets and competitors' technology, products, and price/cost positions to determine requirements for product enhancements and future product developments, including VOC.
• Collaborate and partner with other product lines and/or companies/firms to create bundled hardware & software portfolio solutions that deliver on synergies for our targeted customers segments.
• Create & deliver presentations and spreadsheets for Ops reviews, Product Line reviews, staff meetings, sales meetings, customer visits, profit and strategic plans, etc.
• Pursue and manage partnership & acquisition opportunities / activities.
• Evaluate pertinent new technology solutions and provide thought leadership in the industry.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology-related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical marketing, product management, and/or engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering leadership / project management / product marketing / or business development.
  • Must be willing to relocate to one of the following Eaton areas: Raleigh, NC, Peachtree GA, Pittsburgh PA (Moon Twp.) or Los Angeles, CA (City of Industries)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or Masters in Engineering or business from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience with Electric Vehicle Charging / Alternative Energy Markets
  • Demonstrated success leading a diverse project team with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
