Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Product Application Engineer.

This hybrid position is based at our Waukesha, WI facility. No relocation assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you'll do:

Eaton's Power Reliability Division is seeking a Product Application Engineer to support its Line Installation Protection Equipment (LIPE) marketing team based at the Waukesha, WI division headquarters site. The main focus of this role is to support the quotations group, customers, sales force, and customer service team of the LIPE Product Line with best-in-class product application and technical assistance to achieve targeted growth objectives. This role is able to take advantage of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days at home).

  • Provides product application and technical assistance to quotations group, customers, customer service, and the sales force on a core group of products and/or markets.
  • Creates and conducts sales force and customer training on new products and applications including preparing presentation materials and doing the presentation articulately. Includes customer hands on training in the field.
  • Proactively participates on cross functional teams including, for example, new product development.
  • Develops an understanding of markets and customer's operations and applications. Analyses product/market trends and publishes management reports.
  • Meets with customers at the factory or at the customer's location to discuss product scope, product innovation and product issues.
  • Utilizes technical knowledge of competing products in the market and their comparison to Eaton's offering to provide pricing differentials and strategy changes based on competitive movements in the marketplace.
  • Supports PLM/PM on new product development with creation of catalog/installation instructions, cross reference materials, presentation materials, promotional literature and other documentation as needed.
  • Conducts audits of bills of materials based on customer specified requirements and divisional capabilities.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of work experience in sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, and/or operations at a manufacturing company
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation assistance will be provided. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience in the power systems or electrical industry at a utility or manufacturer

Skills

  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate. Must be able to effectively interface with engineering and customers on a variety of technical issues.
  • Very detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) to analyze and solve routine problems
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Available to travel 20% of the time
