Press Operator 2nd Shift

Eaton's IS VEH Power Connections division is currently seeking a Press Operator 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Carol Stream, IL location. This Press Operator is responsible for supporting the manufacturing team by performing assigned operation of production presses to ensure automotive parts are produced to specifications. Must be willing to learn auxiliary equipment and the use of basic measuring equipment The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour + $1.00 shift premium. • Check and provide all process components like lubricants and packaging, etc.
• Visually inspect production for burrs, scrapes, rust and other defects.
• Identify and locate proper material thickness and gauge.
• Check production against sample and/or print using basic measuring equipment like gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Achieve Production Schedules
• Comply with 5s

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• Basic computer skills
• Must live within 50 miles of site location

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred
• Good problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork skills
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow-through on assigned tasks

Skills:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Moderate walking is required
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Hearing protection is required in posted areas.
• Safety Glasses required in the manufacturing area
