Eaton's ES AMER MCO division is currently seeking a Power Systems Experience Center Engineer. This onsite role is located at our Houston, Texas facility. If currently residing outside a 50-mile radius of Houston, relocation assistance within the US is available.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the PSEC Manager, the PSEC Engineer works closely with the local PSEC team as well as sales and marketing segment managers and division product marketing to directly support content creation for the experience center(s),. Key responsibilities include designing, building, programming, and troubleshooting new and existing demonstrations, and marketing responsibilities including videos, web and printed materials supporting the multiple Experience Centers.

In this role you will:

  • Lead technical tours daily, including the demonstration of energized electrical equipment, tailored for a range of customers from students to C-Level executives and internal training events.
  • Design and create technical demonstrations to be used during PSEC tours and training.
  • Create technical video content in the form of script writing and on-screen production explaining complex electrical applications.
  • Program PLC's (CODESYS/Visual Designer), drives, other computer equipment and AV equipment for demonstration and facilities operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair and maintain existing demonstrations and systems
  • Collaborate with other team members in Warrendale and Houston to ensure consistency in both experience centers.
  • Collaborate with other PSEC engineers to create unique demo designs.
  • Work with coordinator to specify and source complex equipment for demos.
  • Work with coordinator to match customer requirements with PSEC capabilities.
  • Project management for projects up to $100k and support of large expansion projects up to $2M
  • Support facility operations and ensure safety of visitors when other PSEC team members are unavailable.
  • Work with PLM's to secure new products and create relevant demonstrations for these products.
  • Support audio visual connectivity for guests and presenters and updates for new equipment

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience
  • Sponsorship is not provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US now or in the future without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • Broad knowledge of electrical equipment (Eaton equipment preferred)
  • Power systems knowledge

  • Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.
